Mokopane's listings mix running, markets and nightlife, much of it in Mahwelereng. Road races such as the Mokopane Heritage Day Race and sprint car racing at the Bosveld Wedren Klub cover sport, Mokopane Primary School hosts a food market and church groups hold bazaars, while the Multipurpose Centre stages comedy and music shows. Mahwelereng Stadium hosts the larger music festivals, and October is the busiest month.
