Afrikaans music and touring shows are a big part of Kimberley's calendar, with the Northern Cape Theatre hosting names like Nataniel and the Northern Cape Music Awards, and At The Fire Restaurant and Venue, Kimberley booking regular live acts. Hull Street Theatre adds talent shows and comedy, and NG Kerk Vooruitsig holds church concerts. Sport is strong too, from the Kimberley Bighole Marathon and other road races to parkrun, while gospel and 50's music festivals cover the rest.
